KIIT School of Electrical Engineering Organizes Training Program on “Internet of Things & Programmable Logic Controller”

The future of the Internet of Things and PLC have the potential to be limitless. Advances to the industrial internet will be accelerated through increased network agility, integrated artificial intelligence (AI) and the capacity to deploy, automate, orchestrate and secure diverse use cases at hyper-scale.

The School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University organized a 30-day hands-on-training on “IoT & PLC”, in IoT Platform Fundamental to IoT,  Cloud Computing, PCB Design, Domain & Hosting for end-user applications and in PLC Platform the PLC ladder to SCADA and HMI throughout the year. The courses were designed to enable the participants to acquire the basics to advance knowledge through virtual cloud platforms.

Dr. Subhra Debdas, Associate Professor; Prof. Subrat Behera, Associate Dean (T & P); and expert trainer Md. Aftab Alam, School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT-DU were associated as key personnel for the entire training program. The preparation was led with dynamic help of TA’s, Mr. Kamal Kanta Swain, Mr. Srinibas Das, Ms. Monalisa Dash and Ms. Bishnupriya Panigrahi, Mrs. Bandana Bahel, Mr. Kshitish Ch. Barik and Nabakishor Dash. Both of these programs were well managed by  Dr. Byamakesh Nayak, Dean, SoEE. 

There were around 73 participants during summer vacation, including B. Tech and M. Tech level students from across schools, who attended the training program with their involvement in solving real life projects related to company demands. Based on the demand, the school decided to conduct these programs throughout the year online and offline mode and open for external participants also.
