KIIT School of Electrical Engineering Organizes Lecture on “Pulse Generators for Electro-chemotherapy”

Dr. N. K. Kishore, Professor in Electrical Engineering, IIT Kharagpur delivered a  lecture on “Pulse Generators for Electro-chemotherapy” on 13th August 2021 on virtual mode. The lecture was organized by the School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University. In his talk, Prof. Kishore compared the cell membranes with highly leaky capacitors and elaborated the concept of electroporation. He discussed Electro-chemotherapy (ECT) and its application in the field of drug administration. He also enlightened the process of ECT and the effect of electric pulses during the treatment. His lecture immensely benefited the students, making them aware of multidisciplinary research work in the areas of electrical Engineering and medical Science.

After the lecture, Prof. C. K. Panigrahi, Director, QA Cell and Prof. B. K. Nayak, Dean, SoEE thanked the speaker for delivering the lecture. Earlier, Dr. Ranjeeta Patel welcomed the speaker and Dr. Srikanth Allamsetty introduced him to the audience. The technical talk was coordinated by the School Development Committee, SoEE. It was attended by 60 participants including faculty members, B. Tech, M. Tech & Ph.D students. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Sarita Samal.
