KIIT School of Computer Engineering Organizes Lecture on “Human-Computer Interaction: What, Why and How?”
Dr. Samit Bhattacharya, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati delivered a lecture on “Human-Computer Interaction: What, Why and How?” on 17th July 2021. The lecture was organized by the School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University. His lecture covered primarily Human Computer Interaction at a very basic level towards the research problem associated with it. It started with what it is, why it is and how to build interactive systems. The lecture also covered terminologies associated with it, human factors and the difficulties/ limitations associated with it while going for designing a flexible system. He also addressed the key aspects, challenges such as creative design, interactive s/w design, user centric computing with an iterative life cycle, limitations, need of computation, computation in interactive systems and finally the computational framework in detail. His lecture immensely benefited the graduate students with an opportunity to get a head start in System Design, which is an emerging technology in the field of Computer Science. The event was coordinated by Dr. Pradeep Kumar Mallick and hosted by Dr. Minakshi Rout, School of Computer Engineering.
