KIIT School of Computer Engineering Conducts 13th Project Innovation Contest

The School of Computer Engineering at KIIT Deemed to be University successfully conducted the 13th Project Innovation Contest (PIC-2024), a sister concern activity of the 20th ICDCIT, from 18th to 19th January 2024. The main objective of PIC is to motivate the student community to develop projects with innovative ideas.The project works covered all the different fields of Computer Engineering starting from Circuit Design, Robotics, IoT, Microcontroller projects, Automated Systems in Agriculture/ Healthcare, Applications, Website Design, Machine Learning, Mobile Apps Developments, Image Processing, NLP, etc.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU  and Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Samaresh Mishra, Director (SA); Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Ray, Dean I&E; Dr. H. K. Tripathy, Organizing Chair, ICDCIT-2024, PIC Chairs: Dr. Jagannath Singh, Dr. Satya Ranjan Dash and Dr. Saurabh Bilgaiyan. Faculty members, delegates, invited guests and students interacted with all the participants  and evaluated them based on their prototypes and working models. Based on the feedback the winners will be announced and awarded with prizes at the valedictory ceremony of ICDCIT-2024.

This year 138 projects were received from different parts of the country such as Gujarat, Punjab, Maharashtra, Katakana, etc. After a single blind review process, 32 projects got selected for presentation. The selected and presented projects will be published as PIC-2024 proceedings in the form of a book with ISBN. The book is edited by Dr. Jagannath Singh, Dr. Satya Ranjan Dash, Dr. Saurabh Bilgaiyan, Dr. Hrudaya Kumar Tripathy, Prof. (Dr.) Samresh Mishra and Prof. (Dr.) Biswajit Sahoo.
