KIIT School of Computer Engineering Celebrates ‘Kairos’ Freshers Day

The School of Computer Engineering at KIIT-DU celebrated the freshers day, named ‘Kairos,’ with a sense of enthusiasm and optimism. The event brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests to mark the beginning of a new academic journey.

The day’s proceedings were graced by dignitaries, including the Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. AchyutaSamanta, KIIT Vice Chancellor Prof. SasmitaSamanta, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh, each sharing insightful messages and visions for the future.

The Founder, in his address, announced that a new city for the School of Computer Science is set to materialize next year. This new campus, spanning a vast 22 lakh square feet area, will be nestled amidst lush green environment. This expansion aims to provide students with a conducive environment for learning and innovation.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized the irreplaceable role of human intelligence in the world of technology. She remarked, “AI cannot take the place of technocrats in the world. No tech can replace the human brain. You are here to be the leaders in technology.”

Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Saranjit Singh, reflecting on the limitless opportunities in computer science, urged the incoming students to harness and exploit these opportunities to their fullest potential.
