NSS Bureau, KIIT School of Civil Engineering Celebrates World Health Day

Health is not just related to physical well being, but mental and social aspects as well

NSS Builders, KIIT School of Civil Engineering celebrated World Health Day on 7th April 2021. Speaking on the theme ‘Building a Fairer, Healthier World’, Dr. Annuroopa Mahapatra, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Dentistry, PRM Government Medical College, Baripada said, the Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted how some people can have better access to health services and live healthier lives than others.  

“As an individual if we take care of ourselves and stay healthy, the world will be healthy. We should eat and sleep properly besides doing exercises every day. In maintaining utmost care of our health, we should not smoke and drink. We should also keep a balance between right and fun in order to stay happy”, she told the volunteers. She also took on a few questions from them. Dr. Mahapatra had done BDS from Manipal College of Dental Sciences and MDS in Periodontics & Implantology from IDS Bhubaneswar.

Earlier, Dr. Kajal Parashar, Program Coordinator, KIIT NSS Bureau welcomed the guest speaker. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Gaurav Udagata and Prof. Satya Ranjan Samal, Program Officers, SCE. It was an engaging session with active participation from all of the volunteers and faculty members.

The volunteers of NSS Bureau of KIIT School of Civil Engineering extended thankfulness to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS; Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro Vice Chancellor; Dr. Sanjib Moulick, Dean SCE; and Prof Kajal Parashar for their constant support and guidance.
