KIIT School of Civil Engineering Organizes Interactive Session on “Learning from Peers”

KIIT School of Civil Engineering organized an interactive session to imbibe the culture of “Learning from Peers” on 5th May 2021 with the B.Tech (Civil) 2nd Semester students.

Shivanshi Trivedi, 8th Semester student of School of Civil Engineering and the 2nd award winner of KIIT Project Expo 2021, was invited along with her Project Supervisor, Prof. D. R. Biswal, to present her B.Tech Project and handhold the junior students on the way to success.

At the outset, Prof. Sanjib Moulick, Dean, School of Civil Engineering welcomed everyone to the session and addressed the importance of “Peers” in learning from the perspective of a student. Shivanshi presented her Project entitled “Design of a Steel-Intensive Quarantine Center for COVID-19” which created a lot of interest among all the students present. The students thoroughly enjoyed the presentation and interacted with her at length. Shivanshi as well as Prof. Biswal responded to the questions and cleared all the doubts of the students.

Shivanshi further shared her experiences at KIIT-DU and advised the students to attend all the classes, get involved in Project works and participate in all the events organized by the school and the university.

The event concluded with encouraging words by Prof. S. Moulick and vote of thanks by Suraj Singh, 2ndsem student. The session was attended by 50 participants.
