KIIT School of Civil Engineering Celebrates Teachers’ Day
KIIT School of Civil Engineering observed Teachers’ Day, celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of India’s second President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, on 5th September 2020. The online event was commenced by Dr. Benu Gopal Mohapatra, Director, SCE, who shared his profound experiences with the students and welcomed Prof. A. K. Rath, Retired Professor to the program.
Prof. K. P. Samal, Faculty-in-Charge, KIIT Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE) introduced Prof. Rath to the participants outlining his achievements and contributions to KIIT-DU and society. Teachers play a significant role in shaping the career of the students, Prof. Rath said, while profusely thanking the KIIT fraternity for making his life momentous in KIIT. Prof. B. Jena explained the catalytic role of teachers in the holistic development of students. Prof. D. K. Bera, Prof. Sanjib Moulick , Prof. N. C. Moharana and Prof. B. Paikray also spoke on the occasion.
The auspicious occasion was attended by faculty members, staff, research scholars and students of the School. Great effort was put in by students to make the event a grand success. Spectacular performances were presented by the volunteers to express their gratitude and regards towards their teachers. Faculty members paid obeisance through poems, speeches, songs and dance performances on the online platform. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Gaurav Udgata and Prof. K. P. Samal.
