3rd ICRDSI 2022-23 Inaugurated at KIIT School of Civil Engineering

School of Civil Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University inaugurated the 3rd edition of International Conference on “Recent Developments in Sustainable Infrastructure (ICRDSI 2022-23)”.

The conference is being held on 3rd and 4th March 2022-23 with more than 120 papers to be presented in offline and hybrid mode. The conference will help in understanding the recent sustainable developments in various areas of Civil Engineering.

The inaugural event commenced with a small video showcasing the achievements and humanitarian efforts of Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, Founder KIIT and KISS and inception of KIIT and KISS.

In the welcome address, Prof. Sanjib Moulick, Dean, School of Civil Engineering spoke about the achievements of KIIT in general and School of Civil Engineering in particular. He also thanked all the presenters and guests who could attend the conference physically and also present in hybrid mode. Prof. (Dr.) B.G. Mohapatra, Director, Consultancy services deliberated about the inception of ICRDSI and how it has reached where it is today.

Prof. Saranjit Singh, Pro-VC, KIIT DU, shared his views on sustainability. Prof. (Dr.) Nagesh, IISC Bangalore shared his thoughts on how AI can be used to better monitor various phenomena and also its social relevance. Finally, Dr. Amit Garg, CPD, Indian Railways deliberated the importance of sustainability and presented the way it is practised by Indian Railways in water recycling, bio toilet and energy conservation using solar power.

The guests were felicitated by Prof. Saranjit Singh, while Dean, SCE. Dr. Madhu Lisha Pattanaik proposed the vote of thanks.
