KINS Organizes Orientation Programme for 1st Year B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing Students of 2021 Batch

Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) organized a two-day Orientation Programme for 1st Year B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing students of 2021 Batch on 15th & 16th November 2021.

The objectives of the programme were to familiarize the students with the institution’s regulations and academic standards, acquaint them with their classmates and introduce them to the institutional members. Addressing the students, Prof. Mrs. Niyati Das, Principal, KINS briefed the students on the culture of excellence that the University has been practising right from its inception.

Prof. Mrs. Kalyani Rath, Vice-Principal, KINS introduced the rules and policies to the newcomers. Faculty and non-teaching staff orientation was held along with self-introduction. Mrs. Soumya Sonalika, Assistant Professor hosted the induction program and oriented the course curriculum to the newly-admitted M.Sc. Nursing students. Mrs. Minati Das, Assistant Professor and Ms. Pragyanshree Nanda, Tutor discussed about the B.Sc. Nursing syllabus.

On 16th November, there was physical orientation to the 23 campuses of KIIT Deemed to be University. Faculties of KINS, namely Prof. Dr. Anasuya Pattanyak, Ms. Pragyanshree Nanda, Mrs. Subhashree Mohapatra, Mrs Monalisa Mall, Mrs. Minati Das, Mr. Bajrang Kamudia, Mrs. Supriya Biswal, Dr. N. Siba Shankari and Mrs. Karishma Tripathy accompanied the students.

Nursing students also visited Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), the world’s 1st exclusively tribal university where 30,000 children are getting free education from KG to PG.
