KINS Observes Universal Health Coverage Day

Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), a constituent of KIIT Deemed-to-be University, organized a health education programme to provide quality health services without financial hardshipson the occasion of Universal Health Coverage Day on December 12 at Panda Park, Ward No.14, Niladri Vihar, Bhubaneswar. 

The programme was conducted by KINS NSS Unit and Student Nurses Association (SNA) and Department of Community Health Nursing under the mentorship of Soumya Sonalika (Assistant Professor); Nibedita Mohanty(Assistant Professor); Daini Sunita and Anita Panigrahi  (NSS Programme Officers) of KINS.

The programme began with a rally from Panda Park to Sitanath Basti via Harekrushna Basti. The M.Sc. first year and B.Sc. fourth year students of KINS distributed pamphlets on the various health schemes followed by a health talk on different schemes like BijuSwasthyaKalyanYojana (BSKY), MamataYojana, Khusi Yojana, Mission Indradhanush, Ujjwala Scheme, Aahaar Yojana, Kishori Shakti Yojana, Indirabash Yojana and Madhu Babu Pension Yojana.

The community-based programme was attended by students and faculty members of KINS and people from various walks of life.
