Guest Faculty Lecture Series: KINS Organizes Lecture on “Shoulder Dystocia”
Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) organized the fourth lecture under the Guest Faculty Lecture Series on “Shoulder Dystocia”, an important topic of Obstetrics & Gynecological Nursing, on 29th October 2021. Speaking on the subject, Dr. Duygu Murat Ozturk, Assistant Professor, Amasya University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Midwifery Department, Turkey explained the management of the mother with shoulder dystocia through simulation video. She demonstrated various maneuvers such as Mc Roberts Maneuver, Supra pubic pressure, Rubin’s Maneuver, Wood’s Maneuver and Gaskin Maneuver on the high fidelity simulators. Dr. Ozturk is a trainer in the Department of Midwifery at Amasya University, Turkey and is currently pursuing a double master degree on simulation in health sciences.
Earlier, in her welcome address, Prof. Mrs Niyati Das, Principal, KINS emphasized the clinical significance of Shoulder Dystocia. Prof. Mrs Kalyani Rath, Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks.
