Expert inspires students with nursing entrepreneurship ideas
Dr. Suresh K. Sharma, Professor-cum-Principal, College of Nursing Jodhpur (AIIMS), Rajasthan, while speaking at the 17th Guest Lecture Series of Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), highlighted the need for nursing entrepreneurs and consultants with the changing urban living and socio-cultural conditions across the nation.
Welcoming the dignitaries at the Guest Lecture Series, as part of the ongoing Silver Jubilee Celebrations of KIIT Deemed-to-be-University, Prof. (Dr.) Niyati Das, Principal, KINS, advised the students to follow the knowledge-sharing by the speakers and adopt life-skills accordingly.
Dr. Sharma used various brainstorming methods for the budding nurses to inculcate ideas in doing consultancy services in their minds. He also gave examples for the clear understanding of the students and faculty members regarding various specializations in nursing consultancy services like independent nursing services, home-care nursing, health products or medical devices, industry consultation, tutoring and nursing education, blogging and carrier advices and placement centers.
Prof. Sharma also explained the path to become a nursing entrepreneur. It was a very informative and participative session where he also clarified all the queries of the students as well as faculties regarding research and publication related issues. Around 90 participants participated in the session. Sanjukta Dixit, Assistant Professor KINS anchored the programme and it ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Kalyani Rath, Vice-Principal, KINS. The programme was also graced by Prof.B.G. Mohapatra.
