Director, KIIT Student Counselling Conducts Counselling Session at KINS

The overall goal of Student Counselling Cell is to help students to become self-aware and to attain their highest potential while they deal with anxiety and stress.

A Counselling Session was organized by Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) in collaboration with Dr. Sucheta Priyabadini, Director, Student Counselling, KIIT on 22th March 202. Students of M.Sc. (1st & 2nd year); B.Sc (1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year) and GNM (1st & 2nd year) attended the session.

Addressing the students, Dr. Priyabadini explained the purpose and functions of the Student Counselling Cell. She elaborated on various facilities available for the students like Individual and Group Counselling, Sensitization Program, Workshop, Seminar and also expressed about student exchange program for internship in South Korea. “Committee members always help the students for the betterment of their academic life and issues related to emotional, behavioral, relationship and lifestyle management”, said Dr. Priyabadini.

At the end of the session, Prof. (Mrs.) Amarita Lenka, Principal College of Nursing told students how effective communication skills help to interact with each other in developing interpersonal relationships and maintaining therapeutic relationships for rendering quality care to the patients. A physically and mentally healthy individual helps and supports each other for achieving short and long term goals of life, she added. Mrs. Reena Singh, Asst. Prof. also spoke on the occasion.
