Weekly Seminar Starts Off at KSCE
The Students’ Weekly Seminar started off at KIIT School of Commerce & Economics (KSCE) on 22nd July 2021 with the presentation on “Non-Performing Assets (NPA) & Its Recovery Mechanism” by B.Com 3rd Semester students.
The student presenters, Mr. Abhiroop Ghosh, Mr. Abhisekh Kumar, Mr. Anupam Panigrahi, Mr. Bikash Yadav, Ms. Gayatri Priyadarshini Moharana, Ms. Tania Saha & Mr. Vijay Kyumar, discussed about NPA, the technicalities of designating an asset as bad by a commercial bank as well as the reasons for the constant rise in the amount of NPAs. The presenters highlighted the various steps taken up by the Government of India for the recovery of the assets which are not performing, focusing the discussion on Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC).
Students of all the other courses of the School also participated in the seminar. From the inception of KSCE, it has always been a practice to conduct weekly seminars by the students. Striking a perfect balance of academic as well as co-curricular activities for the students has always been the priority of the School.
