KSCE Students Complete Internship at Income Tax Department
Thirty-one students of KIIT School of Commerce & Economics (KSCE) completed their month-long internship program at the Office of the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax Department, ReFAC (VU)-1, Cuttack on 25th August 2021. The program helped them acquire knowledge on the Income Tax Act, Heads of Income, its assessment and exemption, calculation of TDS\TCS and its deduction, etc. They also got the opportunity to have hands-on experience of how the revenue collection system of the country works. Mr. S. P. Ratha, concerned officer of the Internship Program guided the students about the past of Income Tax and its procedure of calculation and collection of tax.
On the last day of the internship program, the Income Tax Department organized a ceremony for distribution of certificates to the participants graced by Mr. Manoranjan Panigrahy, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax and Dr. Mohammed Khursid, Assistant Professor, KSCE. The program concluded with Mr. Panigrahy congratulating the students on successfully completing their internship.
