KSMC Hosts Acclaimed Filmmaker Abhimanyu Singh
Renowned producer Abhimanyu Singh graced the School of Mass Communication (KSMC), KIIT Deemed to be University, with his presence to motivate and inspire students. Sharing his journey into the world of filmmaking, Mr. Singh spoke about the challenges and rewards of being a producer and highlighted the increasing importance of digital technology, social media, and global audiences in shaping the future of filmmaking. He encouraged students to pursue their passions with perseverance while underlining the importance of teamwork and collaboration in bringing a film to life. The talk was followed by an interactive session, allowing students to gain invaluable knowledge about the practical aspects of the entertainment business.
Mr. Singh also unveiled nine new clubs and societies in the School, catering to a diverse range of co-curricular interests. In addition to the existing Public Relations Club and NSS Units, the nine new clubs and societies are: Advertising Club, Digital Club, Film Club, Health and Sports Club, Photography Club, Placement and Alumni Relations Club, Press Club, Radio Club, and Communication Young Scholars’ Network (CYSN). These clubs will serve as platforms for students to delve into their passions, collaborate on projects, and further develop their professional skills. A series of competitions that tested participants’ linguistic skills were organized by the Press Club.
Dr. Rajeev Kumar Panda, Associate Professor and Associate Dean, KSMC; Dr. Bidu Bhusan Dash, Associate Professor and Acting Dean; and Dr. Anurag Sahoo were present on the occasion. Mr. Prathama Pulak Tripathy, President of the Press Club, facilitated the competitions.
