Webinar on ‘UPSC Civil Services for Law Students’

A webinar on ‘UPSC Civil Services (IAS/IPS) Preparation during LLB’ was organized by Career Advisory & Augmentation School, KIIT-DU for the students of KIIT School of Law. Mr. Kundan Mishra, Member, Society of Middle Temple London, UK & International Council of Jurists and Advocate on Record of Supreme Court of India, elucidated how a candidate from law background can be successful in ICS. Predominantly, law is the key to successful public service, he stated. Mr. Parampreet Singh, a renowned and veteran faculty, author, and expert in the field of History and Indian Economy, outlined the objective methods of inclination based preparation and choice of subjects. Mr. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, an expert faculty in Current Affairs & IR presented a roadmap customized for the law students.

Dr. Suman Bhattacharya, Director, CAAS set the context of the webinar, while Dr. Priyadarshi Biswal, Dean delivered the welcome address. The Webinar was intended to make the aspirants aware how UPSC recruits candidates for both Civil and Defence Services. Moreover, law students crack the UPSC exam because of the practical pedagogical methods they experience in their academic years. This provides them with a better analytical aptitude as compared to other students. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Sudipta De Sarkar, Associate Dean, T&P.
