KIIT Law School Celebrates International Human Rights Day

International Human Rights Day was celebrated at KIIT Law School (KLS) with the collaborative efforts of the Department of International Law and NSS Unit of KLS on 10th December 2022. The NSS Unit of KLS organized a poster-making and slogan-writing competition, wherein the students showcased their artistic skills.

On the occasion, a panel discussion with the theme “Dignity, Freedom and Justice for All” was organized by the Department of International Law. Dr. Bhavani Prasad Panda, Director, KLS emphasized the importance of recognition of our responsibilities as humans. Dr. Mitul Dutta deliberated on the importance of Human Rights and the historical significance of Human Rights Day. Mr. Sundar Athreya discussed the constitution and human rights.

Dr. Sanghamitra Patnaik, Dr. Bineet Kedia, Ms. Madhuri Meelee and Ms. Ashika Ranjan, Student Coordinator of NSS Unit KLS also spoke on the occasion. The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Elsa Mustafa, a student of International Law Honors 9th semester. The program was moderated by Ms. Jinia Kundu, faculty member, Department of International Law and Program Officer of NSS Unit, KLS.
