3rd KIIT National Conference on International Law inaugurated

International Law Society of KIIT School of Law (KSOL) is organizing 3rd KIIT National Conference on International Law from 12th to 14th January, 2018. During this period, Symposium in International Law, International Commercial Arbitration, International Environmental Law and International Human Rights Law will be conducted.

The Conference was inaugurated at KSOL premises on 12th January, 2018 in the presence of Prof.(Dr.) A. Jayagovind, Former Vice Chancellor National Law School of India University(NLSIU), Bangalore and Visiting Professor, NLU Delhi; Dr. Debasis Poddar, Asst. Professor, National University of Study and Research in Law(NUSRL), Ranchi along with Prof. Hrushikesh Mohanty, Vice Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Chakraborty, Director, School of Law, KIIT Deemed To University.

Addressing on the inaugural session as the Chief Guest, Prof.(Dr.) A. Jayagovind said,

“International Law has become the source of national policy on reforms. We need a common law of mankind to tackle the problems in the society. Besides, we have to depend upon effective understanding and implementation of International Law.”

He further said,

“International Environmental Law is required to prevent ecological disorder so that common people will be benefited by and large. On the other hand, Law on Human Rights is universally required as all people come under its purview irrespective of their caste, creed, religion and social status.”

According to him, Privatization has to be accepted as a Global Economic Policy as it is observed that people can take decisions and execute the law properly at their end. He opined that International Commercialization Arbitration is an important component of Globalization where as Globalization is the manifestation of International Law.

Gracing the occasion as a distinguished Guest, Dr. Debasis Poddar urged for Nationalization of International law.
