KSOM’s Knowledge Dialogue Series Webinar on ‘Blockchain Surge: For Beginner’s Insight’
KIIT School of Management (KSOM) organized a webinar as part of KSOM’s Knowledge Dialogue Series on the topic “Blockchain Surge: For Beginner’s Insight” 29th January 2022. The webinar talk was delivered by Mr. Hitesh Bhatia, Quantitative Trader, Falcon X, which is one of the most technologically advanced digital platforms in the world. Mr. Hitesh has worked with reputed organizations including SMC Group, iRageCapital Advisory Pvt. Ltd., EY and Microsoft.
Mr. Bhatia threw light on the basics of block chain and how it is used in different fields to store the data. Elaborating on the history of block chain, he described the difference between Bitcoin and block chain in terms of usage. He elucidated the details about the Bitcoin ecosystem. He explained the major challenges in this technology, like the energy consumption, scalability, money laundering and personal restrictions. Mr. Bhatia also spoke about the crypto trading, reducing involvement of centralized exchanges and Bitcoin regulations. The webinar ended with an interactive Q&A session. Sparsha Ranjan, MBA 1 student, moderated the webinar.
