KSOM Organizes Online FDP on Leadership
KIIT School of Management (KSOM) is organizing a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) awarded by ATAL Academy, AICTE, Govt. of India on the theme – “Leadership – GenNext: Exerting Influence not Authority”, on the virtual mode. The inaugural session was held on 12th January 2021 with almost 200 participants from various parts of the country.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Dr. Ranjeet Nayak, Former Senior World Bank staff and Chief Advisor to the Govt. of Macedonia on International and European Union Affair appreciated KSOM for organizing an FDP on an apt topic like ‘leadership’ and shared his experience in the diverse roles he had held. He indulged the participants to ponder upon the skills, expertise, and competencies that a leader requires to possess.
Earlier, the session started with a warm welcome address by Dr. Satya Mishra, Dean, KSOM. Dr. Saroj Mahapatra, Director, KSOM gave an overall overview of the FDP Program. The participants were also greeted by Dr. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT-DU. He mentioned the significance of leadership in every domain and how the meaning of leadership and roles could vary from person to person for the next generation. Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty , Registrar, KIIT DU also shared his views and thanked the guest for his valuable insights. Prof. Shikta Singh was the convener of the entire session.
