KSOM Conducts Webinar on ‘Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’
KIIT School of Management (KSOM) conducted a Webinar on “Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020″ on 26th March 2021. The deliberations at the webinar, which consisted of three panellists and one moderator, revolved around shared vision of NEP 2020, envisaging institutional structure and control & monitoring mechanisms.
Prof. Bhuwandeep, a management professional, moderated the interactive panel discussion. He talked about the new NEP, its vision and the way ahead. Prof. S. N. Mishra, Dean, KSOM, the first panellist, emphasized the role of NEP in early childcare and education. He laid focus on the need of a mid-day meal scheme, activity based learning and Anganwadi.
The second panellist Prof. Mohar Banerjee Biswas, who has a corporate experience of 12 years with leading multinational companies like IBM, elaborated on the reforms that NEP was going to bring to higher education institutions. She especially touched upon the need of autonomy, flexibility, and holistic education. Prof. Ashok Kumar Sar stressed on the need of research and development in the education sector with many examples.
More than 200 MBA and BBA students, faculty members and Ph.D. scholars participated.
