KIIT Polytechnic Conducts First Talk under ‘Alumni Talk Series’
KIIT Polytechnic conducted the first talk under ‘Alumni Talk Series’ on virtual mode for final year students on 13th March 2021. Mr. Subarno Bhattacharya, an alumnus of batch 2011-2014 (Mechanical Engg.), now working as Asst. Registrar, JIS Group, Kolkata described his journey of success through constant learning and positive attitude. The institution and staff provided him all mental support during his bad days, he recalled.
Mr. Prasana Kumar, an alumnus of batch 1996-1999 (Civil Engg.), currently working as General Manager Highways, Almond Global Infra Consultant Ltd, Noida highlighted the importance of infrastructure sector for development of a country. He advised the current students to be more skilful. Ms. Moumita Sarkar, an alumna of batch 2011-2014 (Comp. Sc Engg.) presently working as software developer in ITC Infotech, Bangalore suggested the juniors to learn new things for keeping updated. She also shared her experience and memorable moments during their student days in KP.
Mr. Chinmay Keshari Routray, an alumnus of batch 2003-2006 (ETC Engg.) currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff-III (Operations), Mavenir Systems, Bangalore advised the present students to enhance the knowledge with all the resources available in KIIT. He suggested them to try to become masters in their chosen sectors. Mr. Nihar Ranjan Barik, an alumnus of batch 1996-1999 (Metallurgical Engg.) presently working as Asst. Registrar, IIT, Bhilai narrated the help, support from teachers during those days and thanked the management of KIIT. He also advised the students to excel in their subject irrespective of the branch.
During the talk, all alumni speakers expressed their gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS for providing excellent ambience in KIIT for the students to achieve greater heights in life.
Earlier, Mr. S. K. Rout, Vice Principal, KP welcomed the alumni and informed them of the objective of these talk series. The sessions were conducted and concluded by the respective Heads of the departments. Dr. P. R. Tripathy, Principal; Mr. L. M. Lenka, Coordinator, Students’ Welfare; Dr. P. Nandi, Coordinator, Placement Cell, KP; and Mr. S. S. Das, Administrative Officer, KP attended the session.
