KIIT Today 26/08/2020 CAAS, KIIT-DU Organizes Webinar on ‘MBA for Engineers’

A Webinar on ‘MBA for Engineers’ was organized by the Career Advisory & Augmentation School (CAAS), KIIT Deemed to be University for all the students aspiring to take up management as a career after engineering. SOT students from 2017-2021, 2018-2022 and 2019-2023 Graduating Batch participated in large numbers. They were given a thorough idea on career opportunities post management education.

Experts from industry working across different verticals presented the road map for the preparations for CAT, XAT, IIFT and other MBA entrance examinations. Prof. Suman Bhattacharya, Director-CAAS set the context, while the convener Prof. Priyadarshi Biswal, Dean coordinated the program highlighting the multitude of career options available for students pursuing technical education.

Mr. Vishal Barmecha, a XIM Bhubaneswar alumnus, pointed out that engineering education doesn’t focus much on soft skills and management skills. Therefore, a good management program will certainly skill up a student to achieve and acquire key traits for a sustainable career, he stated. Mr. Sarthak Dash, another alumnus of XIMB, focused on separate road-maps for students from different academic years. Dr. Deepak Raut, Prof.-in-Charge, Higher Studies Program, CAAS proposed the vote of thanks.
