KSOM Organizes 4th National Business Analytics Konclave
KIIT School of Management (KSOM) organized its 4th National Business Analytics Konclave on 19th August 2023. At the inaugural session, Prof. Kumar Mohanty, Director, Corporate Relations, KIIT extended a warm welcome to the corporate speakers and delegates on behalf of Dr. Achutya Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS. The true power of analytics lies not in answering the questions but in enabling us to ask the right questions and questioning our assumptions, status quo, and complacency, said Prof. Piyusa Das, Convener of the Conclave.
The inaugural session was followed by a panel discussion on the topic “Business Transformation with the Adoption of Analytics.” The participants discussed the evolving analytics landscape and how businesses have adopted it with time. They further deliberated that the development of analytics tools has been driven by the need to solve complex problems and make better data-based decisions.
The meet also featured six parallel workshops based on topics related to Data Science and Analytics, Text and Natural Language Processing, Usage of Analytics in Operations and Banking systems, Big Data Analytics & Generative Artificial Intelligence. These workshops provided participants with valuable insights and diverse perspectives on analytics. Prof. Mohar Banerjee, Chairperson, KSOM Conclaves proposed the vote of thanks. The conclave provided students with an opportunity to interact with business leaders from the industry, and created a platform to connect industry professionals, academia and students.
