Literary Analysis through Film Screening at KIIT School of Languages
KIIT School of Languages (KSOL) organized a screening of the film ‘Avengers: Endgame (2019)’ on 31st March, 2022. Film screenings and film analyses are integral to appreciation of films as literary and cultural texts. “This marks the beginning of a tradition of offline film screenings in the School of Languages”, said Prof. (Dr.) Beerendra Pandey, Dean, KSOL. The event was coordinated by Prof. Debanjali Roy, Asst. Professor, KSOL and organised by the students of B.A. English (Hons.) Fourth Semester, who are studying Marvel comics in the course of Popular Literature. The posters of the film screening were designed by Leki Wangchuk and Ngadijimana Frank, students of B.A. English (Hons.) Fourth Semester.
The screening, the first one in the post-Covid phase, was attended by Prof. (Dr.) Beerendra Pandey; Mr. Sameer Kumar Das, Deputy Director; faculty members, staff and students of the School.
