KSOL Organizes Webinar to Promote Chinese Mandarin

KIIT School of Languages (KSOL) in association with scholars from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and Taipei Economic and Cultural Center, New Delhi successfully organized an online Webinar on “Learning Mandarin: Career Prospects” on 7th April 2022. The event was organized to promote learning of Chinese Mandarin among University students, faculty members and the general public for better career prospects.

Speaking at the webinar, Prof. (Dr.) Beerendra Pandey, Dean, KSOL explained the benefits of learning Mandarin and welcomed the guest speakers and the student participants. The orientation event helped the audience to know how learning Mandarin language and Chinese culture can improve career prospects. Mr. Peters Chen, Director (Education Division), Taipei Economic and Cultural Center also addressed the participants about the opportunities of jobs and scholarships for learners of Mandarin in Taiwan.

The presenters of the orientation webinar were Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Centre for Chinese and South East Asian Studies, JNU; a native speaker Mr. Jason Lin, Manager, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra), New Delhi and Ms. Saranya, Ph.D. Scholar, Centre for Chinese and South-East Asian Studies, JNU.

The orientation webinar on opportunities with Mandarin learning in Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore and SouthEast Asia was highly informative and interactive orientation. The session was initiated and moderated by Mr. Sameer Kumar Das, Deputy Director, KSOL.
