KSOL Organizes Virtual Lecture on “The City and the City: Ideology, Modernism, & Urbanity in Indian Literature”

School of Languages, KIIT Deemed to be University organized a virtual lecture on “The City and the City: Ideology, Modernism, and Urbanity in Indian Literature” on 5th June 2021. Dr. Dibyakusum Ray was invited as the resource person for the lecture. Dr. Ray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Ropar. He spoke on the evolution of the post-industrial city space, urban planning and city as an organism and literature on cities in India.

Ms. Ranjita Majumdar, student of M. A. English anchored the session which was graced by Dean, KSOL Dr. Biswajit Das; Academic Coordinator Dr. Sahel Md. Delabul Hossain and other faculty members of the School. The lecture was attended by students, scholars and academicians across the country and appreciated by all participants. The event was curated and coordinated by Prof. Debanjali Roy and Prof. Tanmoy Putatunda, Assistant Professors of the School of Languages with the active support of the students of Postgraduate Studies in English, KIIT School of Languages.
