KIIT School of Languages Organizes Orientation for Professors of Literature
KIIT School of Languages (KSOL) organized an orientation programme for Professors of Literature on “Helping Students Develop Dissertation” in two sessions on 21st & 22nd December 2021. The orientation was given by Fulbright Dr. Beerendra Pandey, Dean & Professor, KSOL. The mode of orientation was hybrid. Session 1 and Session 2 were on ‘Developing Research Proposal’ and ‘Developing Dissertation’ respectively. Faculty Members from School of Languages and School of Humanities as well as Ph.D. researchers participated in the programme.
The first session was divided in two parts: pre-proposal activity and the writing of proposal. The second session had three segments: general remarks about the dissertation, critical reading for dissertation research and structure & language of the whole dissertation. The participants found Dr. Pandey’s presentation useful for themselves and potential researchers.
Dr. Sahel Md Delabul Hossain, Assistant Professor, School of Humanities and Ms Debanjali Roy, Assistant Professor, School of Languages initiated and moderated the two sessions.
