KIIT School of Languages Conducts Student Counselling Session on Virtual Platform

School of Languages, KIIT Deemed to be University conducted a Student Counselling Session on the virtual platform to open the arena of possibilities to the students on 15th March 2021. The session was addressed by Dr. Sucheta Priyabadini, Director, Student Counselling Cell, KIIT DU. It was initiated by Ms. Ranjita Majumdar, a student of M. A. English and Dr. Sahel Md. Delabul Hossain, Coordinator, School of Languages, KIIT.

Dr. Priyabadini discussed certain mental and physical issues commonly faced by the students during the student days.

She approached some of the students present in the forum to narrate the issues they face in their student life (mental & physical). D. Subhasmita of M.A. Batch described how she got interested to pursue her Masters’ Degree in English despite being from a different knowledge background. She talked about the challenges she faced but finally could overcome those to stand strong. Other B. A. and M. A. Students also posed queries on how to overcome the stage-fright and anxiety issues at certain performance moments. Dr. Priyabadini addressed it sharing her own life experiences to let the students know how to face such challenges. Dr Priyabadani also talked about the different opportunities of collaboration and internships within India and abroad which are available to the students of KIIT Deemed to be University.

The session came to an end with a thanking note by the Dean, School of Languages Prof. Biswajit Das and the Coordinator Dr. Sahel Md. Delabul Hossain. Dr. Sucheta Priyabadini was delighted to conduct the counselling session with the students and also looked forward to conducting such sessions and meeting the students in-person. The session ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Ranjita Majumdar.
