KIIT Quality Assurance Cell Organizes Webinar on ‘Blended Framework of Teaching and Learning’

KIIT Quality Assurance Cell organized a webinar on ‘Blended Framework of Teaching and Learning’ on 7th November 2020. Speaking at the webinar, Prof. (Dr.) G. Janardhanan, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chennai emphasized the concept of a blended framework of teaching and learning process. He presented the broad viewpoints on the blended teaching and learning processes and its necessity during the present pandemic situation as well as the post-pandemic environment.

Prof. Janardhanan explained the blended framework for teaching and learning process with pictorial representation of different essential constraints such as evaluation factor, institutional factor, instructional design factor, pedagogical factor, student and faculty support, and important constraints of technological factor. Blended learning is the thoughtful fusion of face-to-face and online learning experiences, he stated, while exploring different kinds of blended learning models in a comprehensive manner. He also shared the implementation viewpoints for blended learning.  

Earlier, Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, Quality Assurance Cell, KIIT extended a warm welcome to the resource person and all members present at the webinar. Prof. Janardhanan answered queries raised by the audience. Further, schedules for ensuing Academic Audit scheduled on 12th November, 2020 were discussed among the members present.

Faculty members, Deans, Directors of different Schools and members of QA Cell were present. Prof.  Biswajit Mishra, Dean,   QA Cell proposed the vote of thanks. The session concluded with collection of the feedback through a Google form link from the participants and it was coordinated by Dr. T. R. Choudhary.
