Manas Manthan: KSFH Takes a Stand Against Mental Health Stigma
The Department of Psychology (then a part of KSFH) observed a three-day long series of events called “Manas Manthan: celebrating mental health for all” to raise awareness and talk about mental health on the occasion of world mental health day (10.10.2023). The first day was a great success and saw an outpour of student creativity in the form of a poster gallery. The gallery was full with innovative ways to express various concerns regarding mental health and raise awareness for the general mass. Adorned with green ribbons, the entire school added to the cause of the event. In the evening, a street play (Nukkad) was also performed by the students of the school to promote awareness in an artistic and interesting way.
The second day of “Manas Manthan: celebrating mental health for all”, was marked by a movie screening. “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” – a story about grit, resilience and hope, about perseverance and social support, about the power of positivity, was screened in the KSFH auditorium and was watched with utmost involvement and enthusiasm by the students and faculty members.
The third and final day culminated with great zeal and fervor. An expert talk by renowned neuropsychiatrist Dr. Amrit Pattojoshi mesmerized the audience with his relevant, engaging and interactive session on mental health, especially among college students.
