Manipur Govt. Inks Agreement with KIIT to Set up Technology Innovation Hub

Department of Information Technology (DIT), Govt. of Manipur has signed an agreement with KIIT-Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI), KIIT Deemed to be University on 5th January 2022 to establish Manipur Technology Innovation Hub (MTI-Hub). The MTI-Hub, which will be set up with KIIT-TBI under PPP model, will promote entrepreneurship in the state of Manipur. 

Shri Amit Shah, Hon’ble Minister of Home and Cooperation, Govt. of India laid the foundation stone of MTI-Hub virtually in the presence of Shri N. Biren Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur. 

This agreement was executed by Shri Nambam Deben, Director (IT), Govt. of Manipur and Dr. Mrutyunjay Suar, CEO of KIIT-TBI. As per the agreement, Govt. of Manipur will provide furnished 10000 sq.ft. built up space with part of operation cost. To further strengthen the ecosystem development, both DIT, Govt of Manipur and KIIT-TBI will reach out to other Govt. of India funding agencies such as DST, MeiTY, MSME, and BIRAC-DBT.

KIIT-TBI is one of the most vibrant Technology Business incubators in India. It is a center of excellence, now reaching out to the East and Northeast regions of India and helping various stakeholders to establish sustainable incubation platforms. 

This is an important achievement of KIIT-TBI, said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, while congratulating the team of KIIT-TBI for attaining this important milestone.
