KISS-DU Signs MoU with ICAI, Kolkata

The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Deemed to be University and The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Kolkata signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 17th September 2022 to launch a series of initiatives for the educational enrichment of KISS students. Expressing happiness over the agreement, CMA Raju Iyer, President, Indian Accounting Association informed that an Incubation Centre will be set up for the students very soon. Ten students will get free scholarships to pursue courses and Articleship based on their merit and performances, he said, while suggesting various courses for students and outlining the benefits of programmes like ‘Train the Trainers’.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice Chancellor, KISS-DU outlined the importance of value-added activities that the students can get from this collaboration and ultimately enhance their knowledge and skills as per the needs of the market. CMA Niranjan Mishra, Central Council Member, ICAI spoke on the topic ‘Forensic Accounting: Regulations against Fraudulent Shells’. Participation in national and international seminars, lectures and quizzes are some of the benefits that students will get from this collaborative step, informed Dr. Snigdharani Panda, Dean, School of Tribal Resource Management, KISS-DU.

Among others, CMA Santanu Kumar Rout (Chairman); CMA Surya Narayan Tripathy (Secretary); and Dr. Prashanta Kumar Routray, Registrar, KISS-DU were present at the signing ceremony. Dr. Sudipta Kishore Nanda coordinated the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
