KIIT-DU & Beumer India Pvt. Ltd. Announce Strategic Partnership in Cement and Mining Technology

In a significant stride towards strengthening industry-academia collaboration, KIIT Deemed to be University (KIIT-DU) has partnered with Beumer India Pvt. Ltd., a global leader in intra-logistics solutions serving industries such as airports, logistics, cement, mining, and packaging. The two institutions have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a pioneering partnership focused on advancing cement and mining technology.

The signing ceremony, held at the KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering on 12th August, 2024, was graced by distinguished officials from both KIIT-DU and Beumer India Pvt. Ltd. Attendees included Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor of KIIT-DU, and key representatives from Beumer India Pvt. Ltd. (BIL) such as Ms. Shradha Gupta, Manager of Talent Acquisition, Mr. Ashutosh Srivastava, Chief of Engineering, and Ms. Geetika Mishra, Chief People & Culture.

The Dean, KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. B. Surekha welcomed all the members to the session and emphasized that the joint specialization in Cement and Mining Technology will provide students with the expertise to develop cutting-edge solutions for industry-specific challenges across various engineering disciplines. She underscored that this MoU will facilitate internships, workshops, guest lectures, and other experiential learning opportunities, preparing students to become the next generation of technology experts.

From BIL, Ms. Geetika Mishra highlighted that the tie-up with KIIT-DU is novel and unique of its kind for BIL in India. Ms. Shradha Gupta and Mr. Ashutosh Srivastava echoed similar sentiments and emphasized the uniqueness of this partnership. They mentioned that the BIL is focused on developing the next generation of professionals and is excited to impart training to KIIT-DU students.

Vice Chancellor of KIIT-DU, Prof. Saranjit Singh expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. He remarked this partnership will create exciting opportunities for our students, enabling them to interact with industry leaders in the latest technologies and acquire hands-on experience. He emphasized that KIIT is dedicated to cultivating an environment that seamlessly integrates theoretical knowledge with practical application.

The signing ceremony was concluded with a formal signing of the MoU, followed by vote of thanks to the esteemed guests by Dr. Dilip Kumar Bera, Dean, KIIT School of Civil Engineering.
