‘PREVENT IT’ Project: KSPH Organizes Teaching Activities by Ph.D. Scholars

The KIIT School of Public Health (KSPH) organized pre-conference teaching activities involving Ph.D. scholars from 28th November to 3rd December 2022 ahead of the International Conference on “One World One Health” under the PREVENT IT Project. Inaugurated by the Director, KSPH in the presence of Prof. Niyati Das, Principal, KINS and faculty members, the Ph.D. scholars undertook teaching activities consisting of lectures and seminars for the MPH, MHA and Nursing students of KIIT-DU on contemporary issues in Public Health and Nursing Sciences during the seven-day program.

A total of 16 Ph.D .scholars participated in the pre-conference teaching activities – nine from European Universities (University of Milan, Italy; Maastricht University, Netherlands; University of Portugal, Portugal) and seven from Indian Universities (Chitkara University, Punjab; KIIT-DU, Bhubaneswar; Manipal Academy of Higher Studies, Manipal; Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham, Kochi and Symbiosis International University, Pune).

Parallel sessions were undertaken by the European and Indian Ph.D. scholars at KSPH and KINS. They also met Professor Sasmita Samanta, Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU and visited the KIIT-TBI and Molecular and Central Laboratory of KIMS, among other facilities. The introductory session was taken by Prof. Himanshu Sekhar Pradhan, Assoc. Prof and PREVENT IT Project Coordinator. This innovative cross learning activity was well appreciated by the students and the faculty of KSPH and KINS.
