KSPH Selected for CUGH’s Academic Partnership Program Initiative

The Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) has selected KIIT School of Public Health (KSPH) for its one-year Academic Partnership Program Initiative (APPI) to strengthen academic programs of the School. The CUGH is a rapidly growing Washington, DC based organization of over 170 academic institutions and organizations from around the world including Harvard, Stanford, Johns Hopkins Universities etc., engaged in addressing global health challenges.

The Academic Partnership Program Initiative (APPI) matches substantial programmatic experience in education with leaders in academic programs interested in seeking advice on how to strengthen their training programs in biomedical or non-biomedical disciplines. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. S. K. Satpathy, Director, KSPH; Dr. Pratap Kumar Jena, Associate Professor and Faculty In charge (FIC-Academic) had applied to participate in the CUGH’s APPI to strengthen the Master of Public Health Programme at KSPH. This programme includes monthly interaction between KSPH and mentors from CUGH under an agreed-upon structured agenda.

Under the APPI, Dr. Srikanth Mahankali, MD, who currently serves as an International Liaison for The American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, and an O-1 visa (“Alien of Extraordinary Ability” category) recipient from USA will help the KSPH for standardization and accreditation of MPH programme.
