KSPH Organizes Webinar on ‘Mental Health of Youth’
The KIIT School of Public Health (KSPH) organized a webinar on ‘Mental Health of Youth’ on 26th February 2021. The resource person of the webinar was Dr Atreyi Ganguli, National Professional Officer – Mental Health and Substance Abuse, World Health Organization, Country Office for India, New Delhi.
In her deliberation, Dr. Ganguli highlighted various aspects of mental health, burden of mental health problems, issues and challenges with special reference to youth. She also elaborated various initiatives undertaken at gglobal, regional and national levels to address the mental health issues of the adolescents and youth. Following her deliberation, students’ queries were addressed. On this occasion, Dr. Sudhir Kumar Satpathy, Director, KSPH highlighted the importance of mental health, specific to the adolescents and youth. Associate Professor, Himanshu Sekhar Pradhan delivered the introductory remark at the webinar. Students, faculty members and staff of the KSPH attended the webinar.
