KIIT and KISS Celebrate International Youth Day on Virtual Platform

KIIT Student Activity Centre (KSAC) hosted an open mic session on The Role of Youth in Ensuring Health and Well-being for Future India” and cultural evening on the occasion of International Youth Day on 12th August 2021. Students of KIIT and KISS participated in both the events. The event was hosted by Pratyasha and Debarghya Mukherjee who took the audience through the different perspectives of young minds in the open mic session and the musical notes of the cultural evening. Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura welcomed the participants, faculty members of KIIT and KISS and the audience. Ms. Tripura Mishra, Vice Principal, KISS also spoke on the occasion.

Priyambada Sabar, Sobin Kumar Majhi and International Rugby player and Captain of the Under 20 Indian Rugby Team Sumitra Nayak from KISS and Amita Banerjee, Ishaani, Ananya Dev Choudhury and Sameer Sekhar from KIIT opined on the role of youth in the health and well-being of the society. They emphasized remaining fit and working on innovations that would promote health in the community. This was followed by musical performances by Sanchari Bhowmick, Annisa Dutta and Subhangi Rout from KIIT and Amita Khandei and Biduprava Soren from KISS celebrating Youth. There was a special performance at the end by Sadhak Karjee from KISS who is also a KIIT alumnus. The hosts thanked all participants, dignitaries and offered special thanks to Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS for doing everything possible to empower youth.
