KISS-DU Hosts Webinar on ‘Entrepreneurship Development Program for Young Aspiring, Prospective Entrepreneurs’
The Centre for Indigenous Innovation & Entrepreneurship and School of Tribal Resource Management, KISS-DU jointly organized a webinar on ‘Entrepreneurship Development Program for Young Prospective Entrepreneurs’ on 21st April 2022.
Speaking at the webinar, Ms. Madhra Das Gupta Sinha, Founder & CEO, ‘Aspire For Her’ said that ‘More Diverse India’ is the need of the hour, and the women of India should join the workforce as pioneers of our society. Sharing her experiences and journey, Ms. Sonal Rath, Mentor, ‘Aspire for Her’ & Founder, ‘Demystified Initiative’ said that the idea and the passion for being an entrepreneur were conceived during her +2. Ms. Rath shared about the challenges faced by her during the Covid pandemic and her readiness to take them head-on in her quest for solutions. “There is no safe formula for having a venture.”, she added.
Dr. Sunita Reddy, Associate Professor, JNU, New Delhi, advised students to go for projects in Arts and Crafts in collaboration with like-minded friends in the age group of 20 to 25 years and promote indigenous arts and crafts, develop models and frameworks so that benefits prescribed reach the actual beneficiaries including GI Tagging and facilitating Intellectual Property Rights. She urged the students to volunteer for activities like GI Tagging, ‘indigenous art and craft,’ marketing, packaging, and acquiring the necessary skills to become an entrepreneur.
Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice-Chancellor, KISS Deemed to be University requested them to collectively hone and mentor the entrepreneurial skills of the aspiring young students of KISS-DU. While focusing on women’s entrepreneurship, Professor Behera added that the girls should have the heart and mindset to become an entrepreneur.
Shri Nilamani Nayak, M.Com student, School of Tribal Resource Management, shared his entrepreneurship experiences during the Covid pandemic. He stated that uncomfortable situations in life often give necessary strengths and the passion for boldly facing troubles in business and attaining victory in life. Dr. Snigdharani Panda, Dean School of Tribal Resource Management, KISS-DU moderated the session and Ms. Esha Dandge from ‘Aspire for Her’ offered a vote of thanks.
