The academic community of KISS Deemed to be University gathered on 26th April 2025 to bid farewell to Prof. Deepak Kumar Behera as he completed his four-year tenure as Vice Chancellor. The occasion was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS & KIMS; Prof. Saranjit Singh, VC, KIIT-DU; Prof. Debasish Bandyopadhyay, VC, KISS-DU; Dr. J. R. Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT-DU; and Dr. P. K. Routray, Registrar, KISS-DU.
In his address, Dr. Samanta highlighted the significant milestones achieved during Prof. Behera’s tenure and the remarkable progress made under his leadership, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth. Deans, Directors, Faculty Members, and Executive Staff Members also came together to express their appreciation for Prof. Behera’s contributions, sharing reflections on their experiences working alongside him.
They made special mention of his enthusiasm for fostering national and international MoUs and collaborations, inviting distinguished speakers for the Invited Lecture Series, and most notably, his seminal role in securing an ‘A’ grade in the first cycle of NAAC accreditation. The gathering was a heartfelt celebration, honoring his dedication and wishing him continued success, health, and happiness in all his future endeavors.
