KISS Conducts Online Competition among School Students

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) conducted an online competition in various categories among school students during the current pandemic. Open for students from Class 2 to 10, competition in essay writing, debate, drawing, song, dance and storytelling was organized for sub-junior, junior and senior students. The best 30 entries were selected from each group from among the participants. 

The topic for debate was An Experience with My Family during the Corona Period” and “How We Can Raise Awareness for Corona” for the junior and senior students respectively.   

Junior and sub-junior students had the liberty to choose their own topic for the drawing competition, whereas senior students were required to make their artwork on a topic related to Coronavirus. Subas Nimala (Senior Category), Ranjita Pujari (Junior Category) and Shantilata Majhi (Sub-Junior Category) were adjudged winners respectively. 

The theme for essay writing was “Health Care during the Time of Corona” for the junior students and “My Duty during the Corona Pandemic” for the senior students. Judhistir Bhatra and Sasmita Bhatra bagged the 1st position in junior and senior category respectively.  

In dance, song, and storytelling, the sub-junior students could choose a topic of their choice. Suman Pradhan (Story), Jeeban Ku. Murmu (Song) and Dangi Hembram (Dance) bagged the 1st place. 

The winners will get attractive prizes along with certificates. All participants will also be awarded with participation certificates as a token of encouragement.
