Induction Programme for OPSC UPSC – 2022 Aspirants at KISS

KISS Deemed to be University organized an Induction Programme for the aspirants of OPSC and UPSC – 2022 on 5th April 2022 in blended-mode. The programme, which currently has more than 40 faculty members from KIIT and KISS, received an overwhelming response from 700 plus students and alumni.  

Motivating the students, Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice-Chancellor, KISS-DU, spoke on the significance of concentration, power and courage during the preparation journey. He encouraged the students to adopt nine Mantras (A: Attitude; B: Brave; C: Concentration; D: Determination; E: Efficient; F: Focused; G: Goal-Oriented; H: Hard Working; I: Innovative). Dr. Prashanta Kumar Routray, Registrar, KISS-DU, reiterated the dream and vision of Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, behind this initiative to groom the students to reach the pinnacle of success in competitive examinations and to have leaders who empower their community.    

Presenting the road-map of the programme, Dr. Kanhu Charan Mahali, IPS (Retd.), Director General, KISS-DU, emphasized mastering the English language by interacting with their peers as it is essential for successfully clearing the competitive examinations. Professor S. N. Misra, Dean, KIIT School of Management (KSOM) also guided the students to focus on improving their English writing skills and Quantitative Aptitude. He also stressed on reading newspapers and remaining updated with current daily affairs.

“Unless and until you identify your goal, success is a distant dream. One must possess the attitude to learn and the enthusiasm to explore the world around you”, said Professor Swarnamayee Tripathy, Professor Emerita, KISS-DU.

Many students also shared their enthusiasm and expressed how they felt motivated and excited to start this academic journey. All the students jointly took an oath to ensure to put their best efforts to achieve excellence in the programme.

Ms. Shweta Kochatta, Assistant Professor, School of Leadership, KIIT-DU, offered a vote of thanks and wished good luck to all the students.  This induction programme was organized under the overall leadership of Dr. Kanhu Charan Mahali and attended by the senior functionaries of KISS and KIIT.
