41st Sub Junior National Volleyball(Boys & Girls) Championship 2019
Organized by Odisha Volleyball Association in association with KIIT-Deemed to be University & KISS under the aegis of Volleyball Federation of India (VFI), the 41st Sub Junior National Volleyball (boys & girls) Championship 2019 has been conducted successfully at KIIT Campus from 23rd to 28th February, 2019.
In all, 25 boys & 22 girls volleyball teams comprising of 700 players across the country participated in this mega national event. The final results of boys and girls groups are as follows :
BOYS SECTION :
1st – Chandigarh team
2nd – Uttar Pradesh Team
3rd – Gujarat team
GIRLS SECTION :
1st – West Bengal (W.B team was also champion for the last 2 years)
2nd – Haryana team
3rd – Rajasthan team
The prizes were given by Chief Guest, Shri. Amitabh Thakur, IPS, I.G. of Police; Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and Hon’ble MP(Rajyasabha); Shri. S Vasudevan, Hony. President, Volleyball Federation of India; Shri. Rathindranath Roy Chaudhury, Hony. Vice President, VFI; Shri. Sekhar Bose, Hony. Treasurer, VFI; Shri Sanjay Das, Working President, OVA and Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Hony. Secretary, Odisha Volleyball Association.
In his speech, Shri Amitabh Thakur, IPS congratulated the teams and particularly Odisha Volleyball Association and KIIT Deemed to be University for conducting the national event in amid grandeur. Prof. Achyuta Samanta congratulated all the medal winning teams for their splendid performance in such a significant championship. Dr. Gaganendu Dash, Hony. Secretary of Odisha Volleyball Association thanked Volleyball Federation of India for giving this opportunity to OVA for organizing this prestigious event and the PSUs, companies for supporting to make this event a grand success.
