Virtual Orientation Programme for GNM Students
Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University started New Year with the virtual orientation programme for the newly admitted GNM students (Academic year 2020-2021) on 2nd January 2021. The program was attended by 50 students and faculty members of KINS.
On behalf of KIMS, Prof. (Mrs.) Amarita Lenka (Principal, KINS) welcomed students and congratulated them for selecting a noble profession. At the same time she thanked their parents for choosing to pursue the career of their children through KINS. Prof. Pramoda Ku. Nayak, Principal, SoN and Prof. (Mrs.) Niyati Das, Vice Principal, KINS also addressed the students. They highlighted the importance and scope of Nursing as a profession and conveyed their best wishes for their future endeavours.
Students were briefed about the Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta and also introduced to the culture of KIIT, KIMs & KINS through video clips. All the faculty members introduced themselves and congratulated students for choosing KINS. This was followed by the students’ introduction. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Sarbattama Nayak, Tutor KINS and the programme was moderated by Mrs. Pritilagna Dash, Tutor, KINS.
