KINS Principal Delivers Keynote Address at SCBMCH e-Workshop
A National Level Virtual Workshop was organized by College of Nursing, SCB.MCH, Cuttack, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of Odisha on the theme, “Emerging Trends & Challenges in Nursing Profession: Today & Tomorrow” on 19th & 20th January, 2021.
The workshop was graced by Dr. Sanjukta Sahoo, Director Nursing, Odisha; Prof. Dr. Lucy Das, Superintendent, SCB.MCH, Cuttack; and Mrs. Bijayalakshmi Dash, Principal In-charge, SCB College of Nursing, Cuttack. Prof. Mrs. Amarita Lenka, Principal, KINS delivered the keynote address at the workshop. Speaking as the Guest of Honour, she outlined nursing as a profession from the era of ‘Lady with the Lamp’ Ms. Florence Nightingale to present time. She lucidly illustrated the emerging role of nursing with challenges associated with innovation.
The first session on “Trends & Challenges in Nursing Education” was addressed by Prof. Bian Joe, Principal, Christ College of Nursing, Rajkot, while the second session on “Trends & Challenges in Clinical Nursing” was addressed by Mrs. Geetanjali Kalyan, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Around 200 participants from different parts of the country attended the workshop.
