KINS Organizes Model Exhibition on Child Health Nursing

Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a Model Exhibition on the subject Child Health Nursing recently.

The event started with the introduction of models displayed on the ground floor of the college building. Students and faculty members were formally welcomed by the Child Health Nursing Department. The Model Exhibition was evaluated by Dr. Nirmal Kumar Mahakud and Prof. Anusuya Pattanaik, who addressed the students and encouraged all the participants for such a model exhibition.

The Model exhibition was conducted for the inter–class level in B.Sc. 6th semester students. They prepared various models on 9 topics i.e., Congenital heart diseases, Fetal circulation, Bubble CPAP, Ostomy care, Restraints, Feeding techniques, Crash trolley, Ventilator, & Pain scale. All the models were prepared very well. The students were motivated with their own creativity.

Assessment of the exhibition was also done by respected dignitaries who all surveyed the exhibition and sought an explanation about the details of all the different models from students who made models. Other students of different semesters of the college who visited the exhibition enjoyed the event very much. In the end, Prof. Dr. Niyati Das, Principal of School of Nursing, gave a brief motivational speech and admired the student’s efforts and interest. Later, the vote of thanks to all the participants in invitees was proposed by the Child Health Nursing Department.
