KINS Organizes Alumni Talk Series-3

Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) organized the 3rd series of Alumni Talk on 28th August 2021 on virtual mode with an objective to provide a forum to establish a link between the alumni, faculty and students and also to make students aware of the career opportunities available.

Mr. Manoj Pandey, alumnus of batch 2011-2015, presently working as Nursing Officer at Kalabati Saran Children Hospital, New Delhi gave an impactful deliberation on “Personality development”. He emphasized on staying connected with positive and like minded people, being confident with acquisition of knowledge and competence and developing good communication skills to have a pleasant personality.

Ms. Manisha Samanta, alumna 2012-2016 batch, motivated students with her talk on scope of nursing in public health. After her graduation, she completed her Master in Public Health at Kalinga School of Public Health, KIIT-DU and is currently working as Block Manager at Care India.  She elaborated the scope, role and responsibility of nurses in the public health sector and how gratifying it is to provide a wide range of care and services for the promotion, preservation and restoration of health of people of the community.

Both of the alumni interacted with the students and faculty members after the session. Prof. Amarita Lenka, Principal, KINS congratulated both the alumni for their achievements and significant contribution towards the profession. The talk was attended by M.Sc. 2nd year students, B.Sc. Nursing 1st and 4th year students, GNM 1st and 2nd year students.The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Prativa Ray, Tutor, KINS.
