KINS Conducts Journal Club Presentation

Journal Clubs presentations provide a forum for researchers to keep abreast with new knowledge in the field of research and facilitate informal discussion and interaction among participants.

Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), KIIT-DU conducted a Journal Club presentation on 16th July 2021 to help the participants refine the presentation skills and master the ability to critically appraise published research. The program started with faculties and students of M.Sc(N) 2ndyr  through virtual platforms. The session consisted of two presentations by 2nd year post graduate students.

The first speaker Ms. Smrutipragyan Sahoo, M.Sc (N) 2nd year student, presented the research article on “Can Flipped Classroom Enhance Class Engagement and Academic Performance among Undergraduate Paediatric Nursing Students: A Mixed Method Study”. After the presentation the floor was open for discussion and critiques. 

The second speaker, Ms. Sonali Mangaraj, M.Sc (N) 2nd year, presented the article on “Effectiveness of Green Tea Mouthwash for improving oral health status among Oral cancer patients: A single blind randomized controlled trial” followed by critique and discussion. The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Anusikta Panda, M.Sc(N) 2nd year student.
